Nice. I'm near Diversey and Paulina.

Yeah I lucked out with the Striple cuz suspension perfect for my petite size.

I got the R version because adjustable front fork (and better brakes), but since only city and highway driving I've had no need to make adjustments.

Sat on the Speed Triple R yesterday at the Motorcycle show, that thing was NICE! Unfortunately I don't have a garage spot yet so can't justify parking anything nicer than the FZ on the street. But if I do upgrade next it'll most likely be an S1000R.

Both nice bikes. If you're in the market for a bike that size, I'd def give both of those a test ride. The Speed is an amazing bike. I haven't ridden the new model that came out earlier this year but reviews are great for it. I went with Street over Speed just cuz I'm 5'9" and like a lighter, shorter bike. But considering reliability of both brands (anecdotally and historically), I'd give strong consideration to the Triumph. But can't go wrong with either of them.

welcome! I don't live all that far away from you and have the Nismo R32. I have a few members in my GTR gang, ( we are more focused on working on, and fixing and racing, not hard parking )

Hey. Ha, good to know. Yeah, as evidenced by my build so far, same here. Certainly not a garage or show queen. Looking forward to hitting the tracks out here in the near future.

And if you guys have experience replacing the turbos without removing the motor--and are interested in helping a brother out--lemme know. That's the next thing on the roster. (Not that I'm totally opposed to motor out, just that I only want to do that once and currently can't afford to do all the things I need to do during a motor pull..ie sump baffle, crank collar, oil pump, harmonic balancer, etc).

Cheers!

Shouldn't a problem, it's a bitch to do but most things are. Are you doing steel wheels or like a -5 setup?

I have new -9s, HKS actuators, and HPI dumps. Also figured I'd do some head work at same time. Currently have ARP studs, Tomei 1.2 mm head gasket and full gasket set. Cams and cam gears will likely be thrown in the mix, but don't own them yet.

Only other thing sitting aroudn that I didn't do during the original overhaul was the fuel pump. I bought a Nismo pump and we for the life of us couldn't get the OEM one out. I know it's a relatively straight forward pull, but I think there's something fucked with mine. We spent an entire afternoon trying to get it out and couldn't.

if you are going to be taking off the head, pull the whole thing!

the fuel pump wouldn't come out of the little bucket housing it was in? I believe there is a pressure clip holding it in, but I could be wrong. Its been a year or so since I've reached in the tank.

Pull the whole thing...

Again, main reason for holding off was because I want to pull it and do everything at that time. Currently I can't afford to do everything I want. So option two would be to just hold off and do nothing now, then do it all when I can afford it. But that may be a year or two, and these turbos and dumps are burning a hole in my pocket.

Yeah, fuel pump wouldn't come out of the tan bucket. Tried squeezing the clips and everything.

This was about 8 months ago. I'll try again next time I have a free weekend and an empty tank.
