Decided it is a good time to get a new grill, and a decent one at that. Shopped around and read up on gas grills for a while as charcoal is a bit dangerous out here. Found a nice sized piece for our place and needs. Weber Genesis II E-310 with igrill 3 capability. This thing is solid. Decided to buy new in box and put it together myself...glad I did that as it was easy and fun.
Grill boasts some new technology with the burner design keeping the entire cooking surface the same temp for even cooking. Also has nice porcelain coated cast iron grates and heavy stainless steel construction. Disappointed that Weber is making shit in China now, but this thing is rock solid and great quality from what I can tell. Still has the Weber warranty and build quality. This grill also has a trick little propane tank hanger and gauge to let you know when the tank is low. Got a couple grill tools and infrared laser thermometer to up my grilling game. The warming rack on the grill also collapses down for easier access to the back of the grill. Big fan of that feature.
First thing I got to grill are some dry aged ribeye steaks and making some twice baked potatoes as well. Bring it on summer, I am ready.
