I Need A Modem/Router Combo

We need to get our own instead of renting one and wasting money. We have Century Link and have VDSL2 40mb at our place. I was thinking about saying fuck it and picking up the nighthawk D7000. Any other suggestions?

We currently have the Century Link special actiontec C1000. It works well but doesn't have the range I want for outside the house on our back patio. I am not a tech person, so my hour of looking around today just made me more frustrated. Thanks dudes.

Might be, but you will get better performance from a Surfboard and a good router than an all in one IMO.

Someone just posted the modem for sale. If you have t-mobile and say their service sucks they will give you their cell spot router. I think it's free or $20 initially. I have one, been in the closet for a few years, going to hook it up this week
