im wellllll aware of raylar. That kit is probablu $10k, plus the hydraulic steering i dont have, plus some tabs to keep this thing straight, its easliy 15k to do it correctly. maybe a big nasty cam at some point and thats about all.

I didnt know you dont have tabs that should be your first mod, it will save you alot on fuel when your just cruzing around and makes the boat ride better all around, they dont do anything but slow you down when your going fast tho

Back home in one piece. The boat performed flawlessly. Definitely had the prop out of the water at least three times, each one causing me to nearly poop my pants. I only had two of my bro's out today, not wanting to deal with extra people if there were any issues with the boat. Water was real smooth when we got out, maybe a foot of chop. The wind picked up later in the day and that foot turned into somewhere around 3'

Not a bad sunday

It'll be my first boat. Looking to hold about 8 people and keep the price in the low 30s as that's about what I can comfortably afford.
Make sure you get the newer illusion. The older side mounted ones cracked the decks like a mofucka... I can help you with it all

That's sweet. My friend always tell me that you need good chop to go fast.

You should get a GPS speedometer, so you accurately know how fast you are going.

I think his boat already has one gps is mainly just for bragging anyway, some boats need chop some don't I think his pad bottom would do Better with less chop

i was thinking about it, but i could spend $400+ on something a lot more enjoyable for the boat. I'll grab someones car GPS one day and check it. People are claiming 68-72 stock, i cant imagine the regular speedo being off by much more than 3-4mph, and my inexperience with driving the boat.

id say it was just a hair too rough yesterday, it felt like it spent just a bit too much time in the air to really get a chance to stretch its legs. Im learning to drive the boat still of course too.

I've got a handheld Garmin if you'd like to borrow one day. Boat speedos are pretty accurate. Mine said 72mph and it read 64.X on the GPS>
