i wish i knew the lower better to venture down that way, i get nervous though when buoys aren't in anymore.

I don't think you can anyway the lock closed November 1st.

It's pretty simple. No wake out of the McHenry lock. Do not go near that old marina on the east side just north of the reef. Stay in the middle of the river. Don't blast through the bay by house near the shore. No wake in Algonquin just north of Ericson's.

a tiny tiny bit nervous of that. but most outboards are nearly self draining... and the river would have to freeze solid as fuck to mess with the motor at all. and with how much current there is, and how early it is in the season, i don't see that happening anytime soon.

Cool. You should take the toon out and shoot a couple of videos.

i don't want to be down there at night without buoys though.

Its kind of fucking dumb. They have lighted channel markers from the mchenry dam to just about Barrington. Then its darkness. Coming back south at night people that are with me have this look like "can he see, does he know where the fuck he is going" its great. :rofl:
