The billet ones that Dougie made came out to something like $850. $300 for this casting isnt that bad of a price.

The real benefit (aside from being thicker) is the preload studs for the differential bearing caps - wheel hop tears the cover apart, but big power will rip the bearing caps out of the housing.

I'd still rather have a billetflow diff brace than this cover. Castings are porous and while appearing stronger than stock, I would bet that the cover in the link above is still prone to becoming shrapnel. But I type that without having held one in my hot little hands.
