Clicking while trying to start, does not turn over

I have not driven my car since December. When I drove it then, it didn't start and I had to put in a new battery. Now it wont start again. Tested the battery and it is good. So I am wondering what is going on. My car is almost 5 years old and everything is original. Any ideas?

I had an old car that would do this occasionally. Turn the key and get nothing, maybe a click.

It was always the battery terminals. They would get a layer of corrosion between them for some reason. I always had to clean them with one of those wire brush battery terminal cleaners.

Check your cable connections. If they are secure, then pull the starter and have it tested at Autozone...

sounds like a week battery or bad cable connection

Check:

- battery connections that are clean
- battery good and charged
- before you go further starter solenoid could be going bad. Not familiar with ours, but in the old days you could tap it a few times to see if it manages to get it to go. The Trooper, unfortunately did this to me TWICE, and the solenoid is in the started, which means more money.

On the t-45 it's a bitch to get to the starter. IDK about the 3650.

Sounds like some dirty terminals though...
