I've got a e40d trans in my 89 F-250 that I'm thinking about throwing into my Lightning since it's trans is about to go. The trans from the F-250 has about 3000 miles on a rebuild but while driving one of the lines going into the trans cooler ruptured and puked alot of the fluid out. It was driven for maybe 10 minutes at the most before it started slipping and the leaky line was discovered. The line got fixed and the trans was refilled, but now it is making a faint buzzing noise that sounds exactly like cicadas. {The big bugs that come out every 7 years and are extremely noisy} I've got no idea on what is causing this noise and was wondering if anyone here knows what it is.
