soo, i'm a complete newbie to changing trans fluid in a manual tranny. anyone want to tell me how or direct me to a link on how to? :clap:

Jack car up (USE JACKSTANDS!), get 3/8" wrench out, unscrew "drain" plug, spill hot trans fluid on self, swear, wait until empty. When empty, reinstall "drain" plug and unscrew "Fill" plug further up on trans (I'm assuming you have a 3650). Get a pump and install new fluid until it comes out of fill plug, put in plug, wipe it all off (or it'll smell) and lower car. Run through the gears a few times with clutch in, then go drive.

There may be more but it's late and that's the gist of it.

Put a drain pan under the drain plug first. One that will easily hold 4 quarts.


Check the owners manual for the refill amount and type of oil.

has anyone used royal purple or redlines stuff? is it worth the extra buck per quart?
