Problem Replacing Brake Pads

Hey guys,

I am doing a front brake job on my '97 Contour to get it ready for winter, and am having 1 problem. Is there a trick to getting the "springy, wirey piece of metal thingy that puts pressure on the caliper to hold the pads on" back on? For the life of me, I can only get 1 side in there.

Putting that spring back on is a bit of a trick. Use the screwdriver to put one end in, then use a hammer to tap the other in. Hold it in place and tap the end in. It will probably take a few tries to do.

I hate those things, i usually get both the ends into the holes, then make one end fall into place, i then use a screwdriver to get the other end in. I dont even know if what i just said makes sense, It takes a little practice to get those in place. After you do it a few times you get the hang of it and its pretty easy.
