Ran the Hellpig last night....

Ran at the strip for the first time in 6 years and the first time with this car. DA was 2000. Got three decent passes in. All 10.1's at 138. Car spun a bit to a 1.53-4 60' each time. Best traction was rolling into the throttle off idle. Ran my 17" 305/4517's at 18psi and that seemed to do best. Debated on bringing them down even more.

IAT's killed a decent amount of timing in the car.

3/4 full of fuel, 50lbs in the trunk, and my 240lb body put it well over 4900lbs......next time I'll pull my "daily" stuff out and run 1/2 tank or under by a hair.

With a 1.4x 60', I hope to get the car to a 9.6-7 with cooler inlet temps.

What IAT temps are you seeing?

I ran the fans and IC pump on high for about 10-20 mins in the pits and kept my eyes on the staging lanes for them to be empty. This was only "shot" I would have. I got the IC temps down to 75-80, and the IAT's at idle to 130. By the time I launched I was high 130's low 140's. High 150's at the end of 3/4 runs.

When your saying the iat temps are 130+ your talking post intercooler temps correct, that seems crazy high but I guess just sitting ideling mine probably wouldn’t be great either


Yes. I was seeing 158 at the top of the runs and I run a "large, aftermarket HE" lol. Does a great job cruising, but this thing makes so much heat at WOT.
