The weird car parts that turn up for sale online never cease to be amazing. Take this engine, for example—it's a Mugen-Honda V10 F1 engine from the early 1990s listed for sale on my new favorite website, racecarsdirect.com. It can be yours for just €10,000 (roughly $11,800 USD), plus the cost of shipping it from Italy.
There's little information in this ad, but this engine's code, MF-351, reveals its history somewhat. It's a motor built by well-known Honda tuner Mugen that was used the Footwork's 1992 and 1993 GP cars, and Team Lotus' 1994 car. It's unclear whether this specific engine was built for Footwork or Lotus, but in either case it makes around 700 hp.
