Personally, I've felt for a long time that Team Corvette has had to stoop down to the level of the competition to stay IN that competition because they were so damn good.

Why was a pass on yellow allowed? Maybe it wasn't considered a pass, more like just getting around a wreck?
I hear Team Vette usually doesn't contest these type of rulings.

The Ford GT has the legs on them now, from what I've been reading and seeing. The GT has actually been saddled with weight to bring them back down to being competitive with the rest of the field.

The Corvette team is just very well run (they've been doing it for a long time) and have a great stable of drivers. Their cars are always consistently competitive.
