So I barely had my new Platinum when I took it to the aftermarket shop for a lift. The aftermarket guy was looking at my truck on the rack and noticed that there was no paint on the bottom of the doors or on the body underneath the door seals. I'm trying to decide whether to have it fixed.

I did look at other F150s on the dealer's lots. Some of them had similar but not nearly as bad missing paint. It was a little hard to inspect the vehicles on the lot especially when I was able to take the pics of my truck while it was still on the rack.

my buddy just bought one of these, brand new 16 and he told me about how when he was washing it he noticed it. and now i look at two we have at work and they are the same deal. most "normal" buyers probably won't notice but i'd want my new 40k truck to be painted everywhere.

Rofl someone needs to go out and check their 48 thousand dollar focus to see how many corners were cut

This is not just related to Ford. I've seen this in other cars too. They churn and burn these cars through the plant. Though I would think that the guys checking over the car at the end of the line would catch something this obvious.

Lots of new cars have orange peel. I was told it was due to the new EPA water based paint regulations

jason05gt: nothing new, that's how it should be, all cars have peel, ford quality control calls them speed bumps, aids in efficiency and improves drag coefficients. /jason05gt

DAMN so close.
