Manual Trans for a SBC C10 that can handle some PAH

I need to find a manual trans that can handle 550hp or so out of a built 427 SBC setup.

drivability & fun are the names of the game. i need to find as complete of a "kit" as possible. the truck came with a 3-speed from the factory and i guess they can't handle shit for power... and looking to go 5/6 speed for added drivability.

ive found this:

but with everything from them, it's around $5750... trying to be around 3-4k for all the things.

In my opinion you're going down the right path with a TKO-600. That's what my buddy is using in his 1969 LS swapped Corvette.

some place that does dirt track car engines is building a 427 ci sbc for it currently

i almost feel like some significant suspension/chassis upgrades will be necessary though with the new engine/trans
