Wondering if anyone can pull the auction number on this and tell me how much it sold for. Is that even the number I'm looking at? And does it vary from auction to auction or do you have to know which company?

I can look up Manheim auction data by the year and make and model. It will list the sold price for those vehicles and the mileage. It doesn't look like a Manheim car, since it doesn't have one of their auction stickers on the window.

I have access to Manheim, adessa, and Dyer... but like dan00 said, that doesn't have any of the usual window stickers associated with the auctions

Damn I asked around and no one wanted to give up details on the car. Business across the street said to ask the cops because they've been leaving tickets. It's been sitting for weeks. The person might want to keep it though. New plates and sticker. Kills me to see this out on the street, even if it is a pile.

That was my thought, but they usually wipe it off after install - so unless the guy installed it himself

Just chatted with a few officers who patrol the block and they ran the plates and said it came back clean. The owner lives in the area, so they don't suspect it as abandoned.

Exactly that's a damn good resource to have for many reasons let alone anyone getting jacked off by a sales guy that says this is the auction price on your trade-in.

It's not as good as you think - the amount of BS i see happen at the auctions is unreal - dealers trying to screw other dealers by sabotaging cars, people damage and steal stuff off of cars they lose... pretty crazy
