Default New Daily "Hybrid Content Inside"

So was floating around the idea of getting a new Daily for a while. I had hated my Cruze for quite some time now and it was getting annoying driving stick as a daily. Especially on such an unrefined car. (I know I'm a woman)

Well I always loved my first Chevy Volt I had way back in 2012. My dad just bout a volt last year and prices have absolutely plummeted on them recently.

So pulled the trigger on a certified 2013 Volt. 50k miles on it and only was asking 11k. Pretty loaded car msrp was over 42k 4 years ago. So I think it was a great deal. Got rid of the Cruze which had 90k miles on it and got a very fair trade price for it with its normal digs etc. photos below and I love it.

Very nice! I just picked up a fusion plug-in hybrid a couple of months ago based on the amount of driving I do. The two locations I work out of both have chargers. It's been a good upgrade.

Yea that was a huge deciding factor. Most of the depreciation is done. Thank Tesla and the newer Volt version for this. But works out in my favor.

Werd, this! If only I had a way to charge it this would be tempting.

It's not the end of the world. About 8 hours from totally empty, but that's only if you remember to switch to 12 amps which you have to do every time (electrical safety regulation). Otherwise it's about 10 hours

I will admit that's the most annoying thing about this version. My old 12 didn't have this. Same with my dads he has to switch every night to 12 amps charging. It's annoying. The 11-12 models defaulted at 12 amps

The last time I had a Volt I lived with my parents and didn't see any bills. So for those who have a Volt here how much does it raise your electric bill?

Basically why I did it. I loved my last Volt. Very well built cars. And at 11k for 50k miles and certified it's hard to beat especially when you consider other options for that price with the tech it has. Heated seats, cameras, etc etc. and I got to drive around today for 42 miles doing errands with zero gas

I wish I had quantitative data for you but I've had my volt for longer than I've had my house so I don't know anything different. (2500sqft home, ~$110/mo for electricity in summer). At my last house my wife who does the bills said she never noticed any difference. I did calculations based on my mileage and price per kw/hr and found it is something like $0.45 to charge from empty (something I rarely do). And I want to say less than $10 a month. Even if you add the 62 gallons of fuel I've used in the last 2 1/2 years I'd say I'm saving huge amounts of money. Oh, my daily commute is about 25 miles round trip so this kind of car is perfect for me, however I think my next car may just be a Bolt.

Well that makes sense. Based on my comed bill seems we pay about .05 a kw so from empty to full would be about 50 cents. (Since the Volt can only use 10.5 kw of its 16.5 pack
