Ok if yall didn't know , warplanes back in the day were as flashy as can be with colorful paints . The paint scheme on this mustang is quite tame. They could have really gone out and painted a big mouth with teeth on the grill or a lady in a bikini , or something like the old planes did.

I'm sure ford put a toggle switch on the dash to turn the lights off . They probably tapped into the wiring for the door sill lights .

If you look at other p51d or even the P-40 or P-40E warplanes , they are painted up to the extreme , very flashy . So i guess the old warplanes were vintage rice ?

And just so everyone knows :D , my username is not based on a plane , it is based on part of my cars vin.
