My advice is use this and figure out what's sane for your purposes.
What are you doing with the car? Local only or highway miles? For local only 3.73s or 3.50s are probably a bit steep. Something to keep in mind is it's NOT a 350. With 455 CID you're not going to be spinning this up like crazy nor will you need to.
My advice is throw it in "2nd" and see how you like it. The reason for this is as below:
1.52 (TH-350 2nd gear)*2.13=3.2376
1 (TH-350 3rd gear)*3.23=3.23
This means that if you are okay with the RPM in 2nd with your current setup it will be like third with 3.23s. If you are okay with more highway RPM you can add more gear, or drop down to say 3.0s if you're not.
With the 9" the way it is you MIGHT consider a second third member with some highway gears in it. Doesn't have to be anything special really since you won't beat on it. Depends on where you go and how much going you do.
BTW One of the guys on the thirdgen.org board may want your 2.13s if you sell em later on. He was looking for a set.
