No. Hydraulic flat tappet and one mechanical flat tappet.
2 different motors.

I use Valvoline VR1 Racing oil in my Pontiac. It has extra ZDDP additive in it which if what helps keep things "slicker" with the extra zinc content. It is made for old school flat tappet type engines, but works great in newer ones with rollers as well.

The LT-5 is a flat tappet motor. I use a Castrol GTX diesel 15-40. It has a sufficient amount of zinc and phosphor to protect the camshafts. And it's less expensive than buying an Amsoil or Amsoil additive.

Or use rotella t6. Its a 5w40.

I used a half bottle of Lucas Zinc Plus every oil change so 1/4qt in place of oil

It's also one of the only oils that is specifically E85 safe. I use it in the Evo
