I bet he is glad he spent the money on safety equipment now. Everyone hates spending money on that stuff because it doesn't make the car go faster. But the proper equipment could save your life.

He went through the guardrail and rolled the car a "series of times". If it was a concrete barrier it would have more than likely hit the wall and skidded down the barrier.

It acted like a ramp and launched him over it.


Here's a very similar crash with concrete barriers.. The barriers kept the car on the track, as opposed to launching it off in to the surrounding field/pits/spectators/etc.

no car faster then 12.xx should ever go down a track with rails. and if I were to ever spectate at one I would be nowhere after the 60ft mark
