how many quarts of oil does your pig take?

Just bought 4 cases of 5w-30 mobil 1 due to the fact that my ISF takes 9.8 quarts of oil!!!!! can't f'ing believe that a 5.0 motor would need that much. So just curious how much does yours take!

My G8 is 8.8 quarts, and it needs the high-end crap too. If I don't change the oil myself, it's about $120-130 at Jiffy Lube.

Does the isf engine have a dry sump?



My wagon takes 4.8 quarts and my wife's Honda takes 4.2 quarts.

Not a true dry-sump system, but the additional oil scavenge pumps work in a similar way. There just isn't an additional oil storage tank i believe.

Dart takes 4 quarts. BUT it requires Synthetic 5W-40 oil that meets Special Requirement; Chrysler MS-10896. Only Pennzoil Ultra Euro 5W-40 meets Chrysler MS-10896 requirements that we can find... So either buy it from the dealerships or mail order it seems.

Mountaineer takes about 5.5 quarts...
