I hate driving my car down rt 12 every day right now. getting the fresh paint sprinkled by rocks from gravel trucks just isnt fun.

so as always- i'm all across the board... in the past i have owned, a 98 lumina, 01 cherokee lifted, 02 caddy deville, 03 awd vibe, 06 srt8 300c, 02 burban. yep. random.

right now my requirements are this...

newer than 06ish. (could go older depending... absolutely not older than 2004 tho)

10kish or less pricewise

under 135k milesish

20ish mpg hwy at least.

if it isn't fun, have it be functional.

So far my ideas have been all across the board..

caddy srx's with northstars...

forester xt's

marauder's

crown vic cop cars

06-07 supercharged grand prix's

lucerne cxl's/cxs's

I need more ideas though... thoughts and go.

Cobalt SS and SRT 4's can both be had for under 10

02+ explorers have a smooth ride and can be loaded with crap
04+4.6 AWD models can be had in that price range

Acura TL's also can fall into that range. Good MPGs, fairly luxurious, dead reliable, can be had with a 6 speed for a bit more fun

Acura RSX type S

Honda accord coupe

Civic SI

Early challenger/300 with the Non SRT V8

04.5+ dodge Rams have improved transmissions and ECUs, a 5.7 powered on can be had in this range and would be a solid choice

Lexus IS300, don't recall when the stopped making them, but another solid drivers car in that price range

SVT F150s (10k mark would put you into an older one though)

Non cobra new edge mustang

Last year BMW E39 (03/04), 540, can be had with a 6 speed. Even a non mint M5 may be in that price range

Volvo S60r's are getting closer to that price for early examples (04/05)

Saturn VUE redline (Honda V6, can get a fairly new/low mile example on the cheap)

First gen focus ST

First gen MazdaSpeed3

Celica or matrix/vibe with the XRS motor (180hp)

Second/third gen Hyndai tiburons with the V6/6speed

Silverado SS's are waaay lower in price than the TBSS's

I can think of more I'm sure

I know you had a N* before but I would never own one after having to work on them. Eff that noise

Another Chrysler LX car perhaps?

i loved mine... and really didn't have too many problems... they are solid if you are nice to em.

Cobalt SS and SRT 4's can both be had for under 10

i like this idea... srt4 more than the cobalt even for some reason.

02+ explorers have a smooth ride and can be loaded with crap
04+4.6 AWD models can be had in that price range

20+ hwy mpgs?

Acura TL's also can fall into that range. Good MPGs, fairly luxurious, dead reliable, can be had with a 6 speed for a bit more fun

what years? I haven't seen any newer ones that are decent for that price...

Acura RSX type S

mmmm. probably pass.

04.5+ dodge Rams have improved transmissions and ECUs, a 5.7 powered on can be had in this range and would be a solid choice

i really want to be around 20+ hwy mpgs...

Lexus IS300, don't recall when the stopped making them, but another solid drivers car in that price range

I don't think they are new enough for cheap enough

SVT F150s (10k mark would put you into an older one though)

not good enough mpg

Non cobra new edge mustang

i don't fit. sadly.

Last year BMW E39 (03/04), 540, can be had with a 6 speed. Even a non mint M5 may be in that price range

what about maintenance though?

Volvo S60r's are getting closer to that price for early examples (04/05)

mileage?

Saturn VUE redline (Honda V6, can get a fairly new/low mile example on the cheap)

crossed my mind... they are okay reliabilitywise?

First gen focus ST

what is the difference?

First gen MazdaSpeed3

don't they grenade?

Celica or matrix/vibe with the XRS motor (180hp)

thought about it... seem to hold their value too well though for some reason.

Second/third gen Hyndai tiburons with the V6/6speed

probably pass.

Silverado SS's are waaay lower in price than the TBSS's

not good enough mpg

I can think of more I'm sure

Too old man, try to keep in mind, caddy tax. Cheap car, will kill you to maintain. Marauder? Maintain? Not even in the same book.

i fucking LOVE old man though
