new fender paint

well I took off my old driver side fender on my Light Pewter Metallic z28. I bought a primered black fender off the webs. my question is.... Do i take the fender in to get painted before i put it back on, or do i put the plain primer black one then bring my car in???? this is probably a stupid question for most of you guys but i have no idea about body work

you need to bring your entire car in to get it blended... there is not a snowballs chance in fucking hell that a fender brought in to any shop is going to come out matching anything let alone your car...

it would look crazy different for sure... especially that it is pewter.

like said abover. new paint needs to be blended or shaded correctly if you want it to match. expecially on an older car.

Yea I have noticed this before, its super frustrating. Ill be taking it to a local place soon. I was going to ask your buddy for a quote but realized his shop is an hour and a half away from me

Yeah, at the least "Edge" paint the edges of the fender first then install it. Then bring it in for them to do the job right.
