break into Explorer?

my daughter's friend locked her only set of keys in her Explorer. Has a keypad but she doesn't know the code. Any ideas?

Yeah, search the web for the shortened code list. Since the numbers share buttons the actual amount of possible codes is quite short. There's a list available that gives you all the real combinations. Once I had it I was in my truck in 20 minutes.

Thanks. I found we can pry the door open enough to fit a wire through so I'm looking for a strong enough wire to push the open button. Maybe I'll use her antenna. Will try the codes if this doesn't work.

Looks like the computer will lock up the codes after 35 attempts? I think we can reach the button with a long enough piece of metal but the mosquitoes are ridiculous. Her friends are spending the night so I'll figure it out tomorrow.

There's actually a youtube video by a locksmith on going through the back hatch and hitting the unlock button back there. We'll try that first in the A.M.

Once you get it open. Most explorers have the code showing inside the back fender well. To access go behind the inner rear passanger fender, from the door. Use a light and you should see it on the fender or in that area.

If it is a early 2000's Sport then the code is located elsewhere, up on the remote antitheft module located above the glove box. It is about a 5 minute job with basic tools to remove the items that gives you access to read the code.

No, I used them all when I was making HD TV antennas. I took a flyswatter apart and am trying that.
