Keep in mind in that diagram they are counting the ac condenser and trans coolers too. If you count those a lot of cars have 4-5+ coolers.

Hell I have 3 on the trans am just to keep the stall cool and transmission temps low.

Yea, then I have 5 I guess I was treating them as one since the radiator and that are affixed to one another. That was a fun time R&R'ing it to replace a fan motor that decided to back out 2 of it's three screws...

I agree about 75%. The part where I disagree is that other European manufacturers do it with a lot more class where it does look so pep-boyish. For example, I read that Chevy looked at an active aero setup and that would have helped the rear a lot.

I agree 90%, I want to see consistent lap time averages with and without the wing If its full seconds faster with the wing, the wing stays.

I'd bet it's fullllllll seconds faster pending the track. S2000's with just a wing bolted to the trunk are consistently 2 seconds faster than mine on a small track like Gingerman. It makes ZERO sense to me that something just bolted to the GD trunk can help that much, but it does. The Vette has actual engineering into the aero so it probably does quite a lot for stable turning at higher speeds.

I thought about that too, but I bet it would have been in an even more ridiculous price range to have all those gizmo's. It's way cheaper for GM to slap a wing on there and just go fast AF.

part of this car, even at 140g or whatever, is still about cost. It was probably easier to do the spoiler and get the gains they wanted rather than to integrate it into the design with active aero or something else. This is the corvette way.

I guess, but if you can afford a $100K+ toy, there's not much difference between $100K and $120K to your budget.

I'm not sure that the added costs of an active aero setup is, but it's probably not much more a parts perspective. The cost I assume is in the testing and programming/software.

Maybe the C8 will have it?
