you should see the ones we took for Ohare when it was being redone. Its 6 feet thick. SO many different layers. The runways had to be completely redone to take the weight of the new superheavy 797 and up, and the heavy weight international flights (soooo much more fuel, but hey, no stop over in new york or LA now. )
