Rear Strut Tower rusted

After 240k on the 1997 the rear struts are starting to rot.
Are there any places in Chicago that will reinforce the towers?
I have a lot into the car and it would be a shame to get rid of it.

its really not worth the work to weld in new stuff, unless you love the car and you can weld, i looked one over i was thinking about buying to flip and ended up like nah too much work

^^ It sucks, but it's really not worth all of the effort. I have a little bit starting on my driver's side tower from ONE WINTER. Last summer both were still 100% clean...I looked a month or so ago and driver's is starting...passenger still clean. Or vice versa, can't remember..

my car is perfectly safe to drive wherever I want and it isn't hacked up.

with the turbo setup on it and no cat, egr, evap or rear 02, it wouldn't pass an inspection.

I never had cats, and never had an issue.

More less. Wasn't driving next to cars that had no hoods or fenders, or let alone smashed front ends with tape holding shit down.

they will do it in they see how much money they can make for almost no work and with us having to pay for it in federally mandated emissions/safety equipment that makes shit even more expensive.
The current 04+ enhanced obd2 is readily useable for any obd3 remote reporting box/tax per mile box

They just dumped that and nixed the visual inspection on OBD-II cars. So it's the same as Illinois now.

Uh, yes, yes you can. A vehicle shouldn't have integral parts of it's unibody rusting through like this, especially after being exposed to just one winter.
