Fuel pump install... not so straight forward?

1999 GTP
Well my brother gave me a fuel pump for Christmas. I figured I would install this thing today... Not having given any research before hand figured it would be pretty straight forward process... I was wrong

Can someone please help me out here cuz i'm lost. I'm thinking I have the wrong pump maybe? or someone swapped out the pump with a different year? I looked at http://www.intense-racing.com/walbroinstall.shtml and my canister is different from that one. additionally the pump I pulled out does not have any brass fitting on it
The new pump is a TREperformance tre-344 which is for 97-00 grand prix

I think you can cap the Venturi port and run it without, other than that it is pretty straight forward, reuse the old fuel tube put it right in there like the old one was

Edit- never mind I see you have a new tube, put the new one in just like the old one ask James if you can cap that port

So I put on the new filter and cram it in the plastic canister? or re-use the old filter that wraps up the side?

If I use the new pump I can't go below 1/4 tank of gas?

If I had an old style housing would I be able to go below 1/4? I do have a parts gtp in my back yard

Edit: I googled the PN# on top Delphi FG0151-01 came up with two parts under the same number. 1 with filter on bottom 1 without.

with filter (mine) http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/s...FG0151fupude&gclid=CIrRleu_tr0CFUNo7AodqBUAMQ

without filter - http://www.summitracing.com/parts/dfp-fg0151?seid=srese1&gclid=CJey3I-_tr0CFWZo7Aod2TEAXQ

OR..... Would I be better off just leaving it alone? I don't ever plan to switch injectors. and the car starts first time every time, so I don't believe my old fuel system has any faults. I was only swapping it because I had the parts here. I don't want to render my car undrivable with little mods that I don't necessarily need. And to me not being able to go below a 1/4 tank is undrivable. I don't want to limit my car to 200 mile fuel range

AHH, I changed out the fuel module and the direct replacment comes with the GM re-design ( updated ) harness that you have to wire in. My issues were how to split the harness to the car and the ZZP rewire kit.

No my garage has held up. I got the 2 car garage kit at lows for 75.00. painted it on myself. 2 years running not a single spot has came off!!

That's what I thought, i'll pull the canister out of my parts car and see what it looks like
Edit: the parts car is the same style pump as this one, looks like someone JUST replaced it.. so that kinda sucks

I got a brand new canister on ebay with a brand new fuel pump and filters for 45.00 shipped. Only down fall was it was the new GM design and I had to wire it in and figure out how to get it in with the zzp rewire.
